Heritage Model United Nations
Welcome to the website for the Heritage International School Model United Nations program. The program has grown exponentially over the past year, and with many conferences planned for the 20134 - 2015 school year, the director and supervisors are very excited to see Heritage students continue to excel in debate.
Over the past year, Heritage students have been rewarded for their hard work and efforts. We had a student win Best Advocate in the ICJ, a student win Best Judge in the ICJ as well as a Best Delegate along the way.
Many people wonder why MUN is such an important program. Model United Nations helps students develop many crucial skills such as problem solving, critical thinking, collective reasoning, elevated research skills, public speaking and debating skills. Universities look positively upon students that have participated in MUN because these students have challenged themselves to think broadly and critically about world issues. Also, for those interested, check out the Olive Branch. This is a Model United Nations newsletter aimed at the Middle East region and is sponsored by Best Delegate, OMUN and THIMUN Qatar.
UPCOMING DEADLINES!
Students attending CACMUN 2014 in October will be required to submit the remaining payment by September 30, 2014.
Issue Papers for students attending CACMUN are due after Eid. Please be sure to submit your issue papers on time.
